Eaves Supports
Thomas Panels and Profiles Eaves Supports are designed to provide a structural connection between the uppermost wall side rail and the bottom flange of the eaves beam, creating a stable transition between the wall and roof support systems.
Similar in principle to side rail supports, eaves supports are specifically configured for installation at eaves level, where additional restraint is often required due to changes in loading and geometry.

MAIN FEATURES
MAIN FEATURES
Each assembly incorporates an 85 mm centre-to-centre fixing bracket for secure attachment to the underside of the eaves beam, along with an offset connection bracket designed to suit C and Z section side rails. This offset arrangement ensures correct alignment between the rail and the eaves beam while maintaining the required structural clearances.
Technical Function and Purpose
Intermediate Support at Eaves Level
Eaves supports help stabilise the last rail up the wall, reducing deflection and maintaining accurate positioning where the wall system meets the roof structure. This area is subject to increased forces from wind loading, cladding weight, and the interaction between roof and wall components.
Load Transfer and Stability
By tying the top rail back to the eaves beam, the support assists in transferring loads into the primary structure. This helps improve the rigidity of the side rail system and reduces the risk of rail rotation or movement at the eaves line.
